Interpol and Bloc Party share the stage for a co-headline show at Cardiff International Arena, Cardiff, on 21 November 2026. Two distinct visions of 2000s guitar music meet for one night, between hushed tension and nervous energy.
Interpol arrive from New York with their post-punk defined by crisp lines and an icy melancholy. Since Turn On the Bright Lights, the trio has honed a sound of sharp guitars, hypnotic bass and sombre vocals, carried through on Antics, El Pintor and The Other Side of Make-Believe. On stage, their precise songwriting and nocturnal textures take on a particular depth, caught between a metronomic pulse and riffs that slip through.
Facing them, Bloc Party bring Anglo-rock urgency and angular rhythms. Formed around Kele Okereke and Russell Lissack, the band laid its foundations with Silent Alarm before exploring other hues on A Weekend in the City and Four. Nervy guitars, snappy breakbeats and raw, immediate choruses make up a set that swings between dance-punk tension and clear melodies. Together, the two acts present a compact panorama of the indie scene on both sides of the Atlantic.
