Bleachers

On 26 November 2026, Bleachers play O2 Academy Leeds. Led by songwriter and producer Jack Antonoff, the project threads indie pop, alternative rock and 80s-leaning synth-pop into songs built on clear hooks, brass lines and layered vocals. First conceived as a studio venture, Bleachers grows on stage into a full band with drums, guitars, keys and a tight horn section, giving the live show a punch that shifts easily between driving rhythms and quieter, close-up moments.

The set navigates their four albums — Strange Desire, Gone Now, Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night and the self-titled Bleachers — where themes of suburbia, memory and family sit against classic pop structures. Analog textures rub up against modern production, a balance the group carries on stage with arrangements that leave space for sax riffs, choral swells and crisp guitar work. Antonoff’s parallel life as a producer filters through the details: pacing that stays lean, dynamics that rise and fall without fuss, and a sense of narrative running from early singles to the latest tracks.
