Starsailor

Starsailor return to London on 2 October 2026 at The London Palladium, London. Formed in Wigan at the turn of the 2000s, the quartet built its sound around James Walsh’s voice and guitar, with James Stelfox, Ben Byrne and Barry Westhead shaping a melodic indie rock where piano lines and understated string arrangements carry mid‑tempo songs. Part of the post‑Britpop wave, the band leans into introspective writing and a calm, slightly melancholic atmosphere without losing a taste for direct, singable hooks.

Their early run set the tone: Love Is Here (2001) opened the way in the UK, Silence Is Easy (2003) included contributions from Phil Spector on select tracks, followed by On the Outside (2005) and All the Plans (2009), which welcomed a guest turn from Ronnie Wood. After a pause and Walsh’s solo projects, Starsailor regrouped for tours and returned to the studio with All This Life in 2017.

On stage, they balance discreet alternative rock, piano‑voice ballads and folk‑tinged textures, keeping the focus on clear melodies and crafted arrangements — the core of what defines a Starsailor show.
