At Cardiff Castle on 16 July 2026, Richard Ashcroft headlines an open-air night of British guitar music. As the singer and main songwriter of The Verve, he shaped a blend of psych-tinged rock and orchestral pop in the 90s before pursuing a melodic solo path. On stage he moves between anthems and more intimate songs, drawing from The Verve catalogue and solo records like Alone with Everybody, Keys to the World and Acoustic Hymns Vol. 1.
Also on the bill, Tom Meighan brings the punch and hooks that marked his years at the front of Kasabian, now channelled into a solo set. Opening, Apollo Junction deliver synth-laced indie from Leeds, with bright guitars and direct choruses.
