On June 28, 2026 at KOKO in London, Jon Batiste presents Batiste Plays SOUL, a live concert built around his music for Disney & Pixar’s Soul. For the first time, he brings a full band to perform the complete set of his jazz compositions from the film’s Academy Award-winning score, plus new pieces and improvisations inspired by its themes.
Pianist, singer and composer shaped by the New Orleans tradition and trained at Juilliard, Batiste moves easily between swing, gospel colors, R&B grooves and open-ended jazz. On stage, he treats this soundtrack material like living repertoire: melodies stretched and reharmonized, rhythmic ideas traded within the band, and space left for dialogue with the audience. Known for a performance style that blurs the line between concert and street parade, he reconnects Soul’s city energy and lyrical warmth with the spontaneity of a club set. A focused dive into the film’s musical world, reimagined for a live ensemble.
