Under his real name Elliot John Gleave, he’s mapped out a sound where UK rap crosses paths with hip house and club-focused pop, with spoken verses sliding into sung hooks over productions that nod to eurodance and EDM. From early singles and debut What We Made (2007) to the pivot of Won’t Go Quietly (2010), the path runs through Playing in the Shadows (2011) and The Evolution of Man (2012), built in tandem with figures from the UK electronic scene like Sub Focus and Nero.
