Melanie Martinez « Hades: The Sacrifice »

On 11 September 2026 at The O2 in London, Melanie Martinez presents Hades: The Sacrifice, a new chapter in her immersive pop universe where music and image move together. First noticed on The Voice in 2012, the New York–raised artist has since carved a singular path through dark pop, electropop and art pop, building stories that orbit childhood, social norms and inner turbulence.

From the breakout Dollhouse to the narrative world of Cry Baby, she has shaped character-led songs with lullaby hooks and electronic textures. With K-12, she extended this storytelling to a self-written and directed film, followed by the more personal After School. Portals opened a shift toward more organic, sometimes rock-inflected sounds and expanded her taste for world-building.

On stage, Martinez treats the concert like a theatrical space: makeup, costumes and set pieces carry the plot as much as the melodies. Hades: The Sacrifice draws on that approach, folding mythic shades into her visual language while keeping the pop core intact.
