Matt Maltese - Milano

Matt Maltese arrives in Milan on 8 April 2026 at the Legend Club with his elegant, sharp and emotionally raw singer-songwriter craft. A Londoner of British-Canadian origins, he has developed a piano-centric language that intersects indie pop and chamber pop, where disenchanted romanticism and subtle humour rest on crisp melodies and measured arrangements. Since his debut with Bad Contestant, his songwriting has taken shape through intimate ballads and observations of everyday life; “As the World Caves In” has become one of the most recognisable moments in his repertoire and carries real weight in concert.

At the Legend Club he presents Hers, his sixth album and a return to self-production: personal and vulnerable songs, voice front and centre, carefully tended sonic details and a piano that drives the narrative. The setlist weaves in pieces from earlier stages such as Krystal, the Madhouse EP, Good Morning It’s Now Tomorrow and the self-titled 2023 album, following a course that alternates slow numbers and more pop-leaning moments without forcing it. A concise, direct set built on incisive lyrics and melodies that linger, designed for those who want to hear up close how such intimate songwriting transforms on stage.
