Dr. Feelgood Invites

On 31 October 2026 at the Halle Verrière in Meisenthal, Dr. Feelgood returns with guest artists for a set designed for the stage. Formed in the early 1970s on Canvey Island, the band made its mark in the pub rock movement with uncompromising rhythm and blues, sharp riffs and a taut rhythm section. Very quickly the stage became their natural habitat, anchored by Stupidity and sustained by landmark tracks such as “Roxette,” “Milk and Alcohol” and “Going Back Home.”

The current line-up brings together Kevin Morris (drums), Phil Mitchell (bass), Gordon Russell (guitar) and Robert Kane (vocals). The quartet keeps a taut balance between seventies classics and more recent material, in a direct format focused on groove and effectiveness. Damn Right, released in 2022, revived their studio writing, while Live in Caen (2024) reminds listeners of what is essential to Dr. Feelgood: a powerful stage presence, a straight-ahead electric R&B played head-on, and a repertoire that ignites in front of the audience. An invitation to dive back into the band’s DNA, with a few surprises brought by the announced guests.
