The Fureys

The Fureys play Vicar Street in Dublin on 22 May 2026, bringing a folk sound shaped in Ballyfermot and carried across decades. Born into a family of musicians, the band grew from the late‑60s duo Eddie and Finbar Furey into a line‑up built around the brothers Eddie, Paul and George, with the notable contribution of Davey Arthur. From early sets steeped in Irish traditional tunes, they shifted toward ballad‑led folk without losing the storytelling core.

On stage, their songs circle themes of exile, memory and everyday lives, carried by close vocal harmonies and acoustic arrangements.
