Info
Periphery play 3Olympia Theatre, Dublin, on 13 June 2026, bringing a take on progressive metal shaped by the 2010s djent movement. Formed in Washington, D.C. in 2005 around guitarist Misha Mansoor, the band has built a sound that fuses intricate, syncopated riffing and shifting meters with clear melodic hooks and atmospheric passages. The current lineup features Spencer Sotelo on vocals, Misha Mansoor, Jake Bowen and Mark Holcomb on guitars, and Matt Halpern on drums, with Adam “Nolly” Getgood closely tied to the band’s studio work. Across albums like Periphery (2010), Periphery II: This Time It’s Personal (2012), Juggernaut: Alpha and Juggernaut: Omega (2015), Periphery III: Select Difficulty (2016), Periphery IV: Hail Stan (2019) and Periphery V: Djent Is Not a Genre (2023), plus the EPs Icarus (2011) and Clear (2014), the group refines a balance between precision and melody, moving from dense, technical passages to wider, more textural sections. Their path includes tours across North America and Europe, notably alongside Dream Theater, and a strong in-house production approach that marks both their writing and recorded sound.
OBEYER, from the UK, joins the bill in Dublin.
