On 26 May 2026 at The Academy in Dublin, Barns Courtney brings his rugged voice, blues-tinged guitars and driving tempos in a set that moves between electric tracks and stripped-back moments. Built on straight-to-the-point choruses and guitar-forward arrangements, his songs hit quickly and leave space for dynamic shifts he has honed on the road.
Born in Aylesbury and raised partly in Seattle, he first emerged with the London band Dive Bella Dive before launching his solo path. Since then he has shaped an alternative rock sound threaded with folk and blues, the backbone of early standouts like Fire and Glitter & Gold and of the albums The Attractions of Youth (2017) and 404 (2019). On stage, solo or with a band, he favors an energetic, no-frills delivery, pushing the riffs then easing into more intimate passages. His live shows keep a steady link between the bite of the studio versions and the immediacy of the moment.
