The Royston Club bring their melodic indie rock to The Academy, Dublin, on 2 May 2026. Formed in Wrexham by Ben Matthias, Tom Faithfull, Dave Tute and Sam Jones, the quartet moved from self-made demos to a breakout with Coasting in 2021, defining a mix of immediate hooks, taut guitars and candid lyrics. Their debut Shaking Hips and Crashing Cars reached #16 in the UK and carried them from clubs to festivals like Glastonbury and Rock en Seine. On stage, they stick to brisk tempos, chiming riffs and choruses made for a crowd. With Songs for the Spine, a second album that refines their writing and pushes the dynamics, The Royston Club settle into a more defined sound. In Dublin, they line up new tracks alongside early favorites, pacing the set between urgency and straight-ahead, guitar-first energy.
