SWMRS bring their Oakland-rooted punk blend to Hydrozagadka in Warsaw on 2 May 2026. Formed by brothers Cole and Max Becker after early spells as The Raining Brains and Emily’s Army, the band became SWMRS in 2014 and steered their songs toward a mix of punk rock, surf textures and alternative edges. On stage they favor quick cuts and melodic hooks, with lyrics that circle adolescence, internet culture and the contemporary American moment.
The set leans on Drive North (2016) and Berkeley’s on Fire (2019), two milestones that mark a shift from Bay Area DIY toward more indie colours and a more pronounced social outlook. Seb Mueller on bass and Joey Armstrong on drums provide a taut backbone while the Beckers push guitars and harmonies to the forefront. In a club setting, their short, nervy tracks alternate bursts of saturation with singalong choruses, scaling the energy of the Californian punk scene to the room.
