Deep Purple return to Stockholm on October 26, 2026, taking over Avicii Arena with the sound that helped shape hard rock: thick guitar riffs, Hammond organ lines and a rhythm section built for speed and weight. Formed in late 1960s England, the band set a template with In Rock, Machine Head and Fireball, and turned Smoke on the Water, Highway Star and Child in Time into staples for generations of players and listeners.
On stage, the approach stays clear: guitar and organ in call-and-response, bass and drums driving the engine, and vocals that carry the melodies without frills. Decades of lineup changes haven’t slowed their momentum; the current crew keeps the catalogue alive while leaving space for fresh detours. The set often moves from early milestones to later cuts, with room for solos and stretches where the groove breathes. A show that traces six decades of music at Avicii Arena, right in the heart of Stockholm.
