Emerging from the Toulouse rock scene, SLIFT has been forging a dense psychedelic path since the mid-2010s, weaving between space rock, nerve-wracked garage, and forays into kraut and stoner. Led by brothers Jean and Rémi Fossat, with Canek Flores on drums, the trio first drew attention with Space Is The Key (2017), a compact setup with raw energy, before expanding the narrative with La Planète Inexplorée (2018), more cosmic, with sci-fi atmospheres. With UMMON (2020), SLIFT shifted into long, immersive pieces: heavy riffs, hypnotic repetition, saturated textures, and incantatory vocals. A trajectory confirmed by ILION (2024), released by Sub Pop, where the mass of sound blends with more melodic lines, with metal touches never gratuitous. On stage, the band performs this repertoire in a continuous flow, as a single movement. SLIFT will be performing at Le Bikini (Ramonville-Saint-Agne) on November 17, 2026.
