Info
Razorlight arrives in Madrid on June 5, 2026 at Teatro Eslava. Formed in London in 2002 around Johnny Borrell (vocals and guitar), the band consolidated its identity with Björn Ågren on guitar, Carl Dalemo on bass and Andy Burrows on drums — a quartet that powered their most recognizable era. They sound of prominent lead guitars, nervy tempos and clear melodies, at the crossroads of garage rock, post‑punk revival and distinctly British pop songwriting.
From their beginnings on the London scene, the band put out three albums that defined an era: Up All Night (2004), Razorlight (2006) and Slipway Fires (2008), with tracks that lodged in the public memory such as “Golden Touch,” “Somewhere Else,” “In the Morning,” “America” and “Wire to Wire.” After a pause in 2014 they resumed activity in 2017, leading to Olympus Sleeping (2018). In 2021 the return of the Borrell‑Ågren‑Dalemo‑Burrows quartet rekindled a recognizable chemistry, before they released Planet Nowhere in 2024.
On stage, Razorlight mixes their early songs with recent material, maintaining that pulse of taut guitars and catchy choruses. It’s an opportunity to reconnect with a key band of 2000s British indie rock, now in a new creative phase, at Teatro Eslava in Madrid.
