Padre Guilherme X Poney Club 2026

On June 6, 2026, the Poney Club in Blagnac welcomes Padre Guilherme. A Catholic priest and DJ from Guimarães, he has been leading a project since 2020 that brings techno into dialogue with popular religious culture. Born in 1974 and ordained in 1999, he began mixing while serving as a military chaplain on a mission in Afghanistan, later training as a DJ and organizing parish-related events in Portugal. During the lockdown, his online sets honed a signature sound built on techno kicks, bells, liturgical quotations and themes such as Ave Maria. This approach is evident in his releases, from the single Ave Maria with Karetus (2022) to the EPs Povoa Bendita (2023) and Selfish Love II (2024), and later on Veneremur Et Adoremus with Ebmath and Integral Ecology (2025). Noticed at World Youth Day in Lisbon in 2023 and on stages in Brazil, Spain and Chile, he delivers a dancefloor-oriented set where fervor and collective energy respond to one another. In Toulouse, he situates this aesthetic between club and imaginary chapel for a very lively moment of sharing.
