Ruel

Ruel performs on 14 October 2026 at TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht. The British-Australian singer-songwriter, born in London and raised in Sydney, writes compact pop songs with soul and R&B inflections and a voice that balances warmth and edge. Discovered as a teenager by producer M-Phazes, he developed his career through singles and three EPs: Ready (2018), Free Time (2019) and Bright Lights, Red Eyes (2020). His debut album 4th Wall (2023) brings together those phases: intimate ballads, mid-tempo tracks and alternative pop, consistently guided by melody and lyrics.

Live, Ruel moves effortlessly between stripped-back moments and more tightly orchestrated pieces. The setlist draws from his EPs and 4th Wall, while leaving room for songs in which his ties to hip-hop and electronic music remain audible, including through past collaborations. The arrangements stay focused on vocals and hooks; the band establishes a clear framework that allows room for dynamics and nuance.
