Die Rakete presents Schrotthagen

On 1 May 2026 the duo Schrotthagen takes over Die Rakete in Nuremberg. Behind the name are film composer Dieter Schleip and producer Giovanni Berg, who have been working together since 2023 on a sound they define as cinematic techno. At the intersection of film music and the club, a field of tension emerges from a clear pulse, dramaturgical depth and distinctive melodies.

Live, Schrotthagen distill this idea into a set that swings between powerful techno grooves and trance-tinged textures. Melodic builds, expansive soundscapes and taut rhythms shape the flow without losing sight of the dancefloor. Filmic visuals often complement the music, drawing on motifs from dark, fantastical and futuristic imagery.

Their releases Sturm und Drang (2024) and Nostalgie und Traurigkeit (2025) supply the material, exploiting the tension between narration and club format. At Die Rakete, Schrotthagen continue this line, focusing on tracks that clearly bear their signature: dark-tinged, direct, emotional and made for the club.
