After a brief, intense Berlin visit supporting Primitive Man, Kollaps returns to Urban Spree on 11 May 2026 at 17:00 for a full set.

Kollaps is an Australian–Icelandic post‑industrial project whose history is inextricably linked with violence—both as subject matter and as a physical working method. Born at the edge of collapse and personal disintegration, the project has earned a reputation for performances that are confrontational, ascetic, and starkly real. The band recently relocated to Iceland, reflecting a continued pursuit of isolation, rigor, and a more unforgiving creative environment.

The live setup focuses on instruments and equipment drawn from an autopsy context: head supports stained with blood and saliva, knee screws, metal saws, throat retractors and other devices once used to manipulate, open and fix the human body. These objects are not symbolic. They function as percussive tools and structural elements of the performance, carrying the residue of their original purpose into the project’s sonic architecture.

Since its formation Kollaps has been relentlessly touring across Europe and beyond, appearing at festivals such as Roskilde, Roadburn, Wave‑Gothic‑Meeting and Soulcrusher. On stage, Kollaps operates less like a traditional band and more like an apparatus of tension and rupture, shaping compositions from metal fatigue, pressure, failing electronics and recurring motifs of decay.

Kollaps represents a form of post‑industrial that rejects nostalgia in favor of excavation: the mechanical, the biological and the wounded are laid bare. It is a documentation of damage, endurance and the machinery of the body—ultimately a study of disappearance and the traces that remain when civility has been stripped away.
