Philippe Lavil’s songs are part of the collective memory. First brought to public attention in the 1970s, he went on through the 1980s and 1990s to release a succession of albums and hits that would become his hallmark: French pop buoyed by Caribbean rhythms inspired by his native Antilles. Among his best-known songs is “Kolé séré,” a duet with Jocelyne of the group Kassav'.
Philippe Lavil returns to the stage at the Café de la Danse on 29 May 2026 at 6:00 PM in an acoustic format, accompanied by musicians. His songs will be revealed in reworked arrangements.
