Patti Smith returns to the stage as a quartet on July 12, 2026 at Les Folies Bergère. A poet and musician from the New York scene, she has blended spoken-word delivery, rock tension and folk inflections since the start of her career. For this concert she is joined by Jackson Smith on guitar, Seb Rochford on drums and longtime collaborator Tony Shanahan on bass and keyboards. Together they revisit a repertoire spanning five decades, from Horses to Banga, mixing signature songs with rarer tracks. Following a tour marking the fiftieth anniversary of Horses and the publication in spring 2026 of her book Le pain des anges, Patti Smith offers a set in which voice, lyrics and the band’s electricity move forward in unison. It is an opportunity to hear songs reconfigured in the moment, driven by a supple rhythm section, taut guitars and the quartet’s collective energy.
