Loverboy

On July 25, 2026, Canadian rock band Loverboy hits Casino Rama in Orillia with a set built on four decades of anthems. Formed in Calgary in 1978 around singer Mike Reno and guitarist Paul Dean, the group carved its place in early 80s North American rock at the crossroads of melodic hard rock, arena energy and pop instinct, driven by crisp guitars, big refrains and synths up front. The catalog moved more than 10 million albums and earned multiple multi-platinum certifications, but it’s the songs that stuck: Turn Me Loose, The Kid Is Hot Tonite, Lovin' Every Minute of It, Working for the Weekend and more.

On stage, Loverboy keeps it tight and straight to the point, letting those hooks do the heavy lifting. Taut rhythms, call-and-response vocals and that blend of glossy keys and punchy riffs carry the show, the same balance that clicked on FM radio and still lands live. The set typically spans the breakout early albums through later cuts, mixing crowd favorites with a few deeper pulls, all led by Reno’s clear, ringing voice and Dean’s clean, driving guitar.
