Mariza

Mariza returns to Toulouse to present Amor, her new album, on 25 January 2027 at the Casino Barrière Toulouse. A leading figure of fado, born in Maputo and revealed in Lisbon, she continues the thread between tradition and modernity that runs through her discography, from Fado em Mim to Mundo. With Amor, she has enlisted composers, producers and musicians from different generations to create a contemporary sound that remains rooted in fado.

On stage, Mariza explores the many nuances of love, from its impulses to its vulnerabilities, through songs carried by a wide-ranging voice and precise phrasing. The set will blend new tracks with emblematic pieces from her career, ranging from traditional fados to fresh reinterpretations. Guitars converse with more expansive arrangements without losing the intimacy characteristic of the genre. The concert highlights her songwriting, stage presence and the balance she cultivates between Lisbon’s heritage and broader textures, delivering a living, contemporary fado.
