Anthony Kavanagh

Anthony Kavanagh presents Jetlag, a stand-up show that plays with kinds of jet lag: time zones, cultures, generations. A nomadic Québécois who splits his time between Montreal and France, he shares stories of life on the road—airports, accents answering one another, cultural misunderstandings and that persistent feeling of being caught between two time zones. On stage he mixes observational comedy, characters, improv, impressions and a few touches of singing and dancing, with a keen sense of rhythm that ties each story together.

Jetlag also explores family, relationships, fatherhood, the apps that creep into every corner of our lives, and the little everyday glitches that happen when everything moves too fast. You’ll find memories of his early days, detours into dubbing animated films, and above all his ability to bring the audience along as he shifts register without warning. The show is imagined as a journey, where his Québécois accent becomes a compass and the stage a departure lounge.
