Yuri Buenaventura

On July 26, 2026, Yuri Buenaventura takes the stage at Le Kilowatt in Vitry-sur-Seine. A Colombian singer born in Buenaventura and based in Paris since the late 1980s, he has forged a style in which salsa intermingles with Afro-Colombian traditions, Caribbean grooves and a sensibility inherited from the chanson. From Herencia Africana to Yo Soy and Vagabundo, his albums have accompanied the rise of the Latin scene in Paris while forging ties between Paris, Colombia and Puerto Rico. He is also known for his reinterpretation of “Ne me quitte pas,” and for Paroles, where he revisits French song in a Latin clave.

On stage, piercing brass, tight percussion and his raspy voice shape a set that moves between salsa dura, boleros and Caribbean bursts. Yuri channels the group’s energy, alternating rhythmic surges and melodic pauses, and blends recent tracks from Amame (2024) with classics from his repertoire. An evening that brings together his many facets, from the Colombian Pacific to Parisian nights, with the sense of rhythm and musical storytelling that has defined his career.
