Info

Anadol and Marie Klock celebrate the release of Manivelles at Point Ephémère on May 29, 2026 at 6:00 PM.

Manivelles is the second album from this scruffy duo. It was crafted between Paris and Istanbul; it smells of cigarette smoke and a withered bouquet, it is sweet and furious, full of ordinary dramas and wild hopes. It will be released on May 15 on the German label Pingipung. At Point Ephémère the evening will feature a concert by the poet Frédéric Prieur, a DJ set by Anadol (who hasn’t DJed in Paris since 2020), and a live set by Marie Klock, joined for the occasion by surrounding musicians.

Anadol

Anadol is a Turkish producer and sound artist. She draws the raw material for her music from the belly of old organs and the winding lanes of the Istanbul islands. Let’s call this music “psychedelic synth-folk” until we find a better label, and it can be compared, perhaps, to Bruce Haack. In addition to releasing three albums—Hatıralar, Uzun Havalar and Felicita—Anadol has worked as a photographer and as a composer of radio pieces. Since 2023 she has collaborated with Marie Klock, who lends her voice and hands. Anadol’s music tells off-format stories, and her DJ sets uncover rarities you can’t Shazam.

Marie Klock

Marie Klock isn’t exactly sure what she’s doing here, so she sings songs while she figures it out. It all began with the piano she learned and then unlearned in order to do other things—like taking an interest in the lives of insects, drawing nudes, or entering people’s private lives. She went on to become a journalist (at Brain, then Vice, then Libé) while remaining highly emotional and playing synth for several bands, including a mythical one that never left its rehearsal room. Her first solo album was released in 2020, followed three years later by Damien est vivant, a tribute to sound poet Damien Schultz. Meeting Anadol propelled Marie Klock into a new playground; La Grande Accumulation, released in 2024, is testament to that.

Frédéric Prieur

Frédéric Prieur comes from a very distant galaxy. He walked all that way on foot in the company of Jim Morrison and Jean Cocteau, and brought back verdant elegies and shimmering songs. Some are recorded on his tape recorder; others are born in the space of a moment on stage, where he accompanies himself on a small makeshift keyboard.
