Info
On 28 November 2026 at the John Lennon Cultural Centre in Limoges, Marcus Gad presents his roots reggae from Nouméa, shaped by spirituality, Kanak culture and a direct connection to nature. Surrounded by Tribe, he unfolds on stage a signature marked by laid-back tempos, choral harmonies and acoustic textures. Brought to light by a series of EPs and then the album Purify in 2017, he broadened his palette with producer Tamal on Brave New World, where roots intertwines with structures close to dub and downtempo music. Rhythm of Serenity (2020) established a bilingual songwriting approach, in English and French, addressing ecology, colonial legacies, spirituality and social issues, with a focus on links between the indigenous peoples of the Pacific and Rastafarian culture. Between studio work and European tours, Marcus Gad has expanded his collaborations with musicians from Afro-Caribbean scenes and the bass music world. On stage, the journey unfolds between roots pulses, meditative soundscapes and collective singing.
