Söhne Mannheims present their stripped-down piano format: on 6 December 2026 at the Music Hall Worpswede they will perform songs spanning almost three decades in a compact, vocal-centered setup. The collective ethos remains, but the instrumentation is pared back: voices, piano, and subtle rhythm. This brings harmonies, choral colors and lyrics to the fore. Classics from Zion and Noiz, acoustic tracks from Wettsingen in Schwetzingen and new material from Kompass (2023) appear in fresh arrangements; ballads are rendered more intimately, and rap passages are placed with precision. The current lineup around Dominic Sanz, Michael Klimas, Karim Amun, Giuseppe Porrello and Metaphysics share the lead parts and move fluidly between German-language soul-pop, R&B, hip-hop nuances and gospel influences. The piano approach reveals the core of the songs, accentuates dynamics and multi-part vocal work, and leaves room for spontaneous transitions.
