Nilusi

Nilusi is a Franco–Sri Lankan artist who weaves narratives through music and imagery, with identity, love and resilience as her guiding pillars. She will perform at La Gaîté Lyrique on 21 November 2026 at 7:00 PM.

A songwriter-composer, she has collaborated with artists such as Ayra Starr, Yseult, Anitta, Banks and Pabllo Vittar, and co-wrote the track “Alibi.”

Her debut solo album, Lettre à l’Univers, offers a fusion of soul, R&B, jazz, pop and South Asian traditional music. Entirely self-produced, the album addresses themes of healing, grounding and the reconstruction of identity. The single “Tereketena,” which connects to her cultural roots, was recently highlighted by Timbaland.

A multifaceted artist, she is currently writing, directing, producing and starring in her first feature film, NARA, shot in Sri Lanka. She also appears in an issue of Vogue India alongside other South Asian artists. She creates a dialogue between music, cinema and storytelling.
