Chiodos bring their restless take on post-hardcore: knotty riffs, emo-leaning melodies, piano lines that cut through the noise, and abrupt turns that swing from abrasion to clarity. The Michigan outfit made its mark in the mid-2000s and still thrives on contrast, with harsh and clean vocals facing off and jagged rhythms pulling at tense, memorable refrains.
Born between New York and New Jersey, sace6 is the duo sace. and Noah Thomas. Their songs chase a pop core with R&B sensitivity while letting metal-bred energy bite at the edges. Vulnerable lines collide with rougher passages; intimacy flips into saturation. The aim isn’t fusion so much as friction, and that tension keeps every track on edge.
From London’s underground, Calva Louise, driven by Jess Allanic, folds alt-rock, post-hardcore, nervy punk and electronic textures into sharp, switchback structures. Hooks surface, then give way to something more abrasive, carried by a steady sense of momentum.
