Super Flu

On 1 August 2026 Super Flu will play the open-air at Ritter Butzke in Berlin. The duo from Halle (Saale) — Feliks Thielemann and Mathias Schwarz — has stood since the mid-2000s for a melodic interpretation of house and techno: percussive grooves, reduced motifs and playful details. The result is a sound that sits between hypnotic tech-house energy and calmer, more emotional passages, built on repetitive patterns, subtle shifts in texture and clear, catchy melodies. Cut-up vocals or references to traditional sounds repeatedly appear, without interrupting the tracks' drive.

For years their focus has also been on their own label, Monaberry, a platform for many of their seminal EPs. On full-length albums they explored the balance between club functionality and narrative flow with Halle Saale (2013) and Musik 3 (2016). Both live and in DJ sets, Super Flu work with long arcs of tension and richly detailed transitions that keep the dancefloor constantly in motion. This very signature is what they bring to the Ritter Butzke open-air: precisely arranged, warm in tone and close to the dancefloor.
