Fatboy Slim, the stage name of Norman Cook, unfolds that blend of big beat, house and funk that defined the ’90s. From “Everybody Needs a 303” to “Praise You,” his trajectory links studio work and the booth with pronounced basslines, breaks and front‑and‑centre sampling. In session he crosses eras, mixes classics with recent cuts and builds a continuous flow designed to keep people moving, alternating peaks of energy and moments of respite without losing cohesion.
Beside him, Erol Alkan, a figure of the London night forged at Trash, places his set in a zone where house and techno brush against darker disco and indie dance. His remixes and his work leading Phantasy lean toward skewed melodies and a slightly psychedelic edge.
