C-LONELY PRESENTS With Nitin, VJOLLÇA & Kiki LeFreak

C-Lonely is presented every month at Bambi's. On Saturday, April 11 at 10:00 pm, the night features headliner Nitin.

With over two decades in the house and techno scene, Canadian artist Nitin Kalyan has established himself on the global touring circuit. His story begins with Detroit, as the sounds of the Motor City came through his radio while growing up in London, Ontario, which inspired him to pursue a career in music. Record shopping in Detroit led to a meeting with Mike Huckaby, and Nitin subsequently played the venue Shelter at the age of 17.

From throwing parties in his hometown to relocating to Toronto in 2005, Nitin built his DJ skills with regular gigs and became a promoter in both London and Toronto. He toured across North America and South America and began visiting Europe. He has played at clubs including DC-10 (Ibiza), Panorama Bar (Berlin), Fabric (London, UK), Output (NYC), Warung (Brazil), Stereo (Montreal) and Nordstern (Basel).

Along with his DJ sets, Nitin runs the record labels No.19 and Social Experiment with Art Department’s Jonny White. The labels focus on house and techno, signing music from established artists and new talent. As a producer, Nitin’s sound blends the deeper sounds he often plays with a newer project, The Human Touch. Alongside Cameron Goeree, the pair have created a production and multimedia project that is electronic-leaning, with elements of R&B, broken beat and footwork, inspired by their favourites from the UK, Jai Paul and James Blake.
