Celtic Legends

Celtic Legends celebrates 25 years on stage and returns with a new show created for the anniversary tour. On 21 February 2027 at the Palais des Congrès in Tours, the Irish troupe brings together dancers, musicians and singers around a repertoire steeped in tradition. Choreographies by Jacintha Sharpe alternate precisely staged ensemble numbers, percussive step-dance and solos, in constant dialogue with the live music.

Under the direction of Sean McCarthy, five musicians carry the acoustic sound of the uilleann pipes, penny whistle, fiddle, bodhrán and guitar. Reels, jigs and ballads follow one another in arrangements that play on the energy of fast sets and more melodic breaths, with no pre-recorded tracks. The compact ensemble highlights the driving pulse from the floor and the group’s dynamics, true to Celtic Legends’ DNA.

After long tours and millions of spectators, the troupe returns to the essentials: an Irish dance experience on stage, entirely live, revisiting its signature pieces and unveiling new tableaux created for this 25th anniversary tour.
