On June 5, 2026 at the Trabendo in Paris, DaviD takes the stage to present a straightforward, introspective rock. Born in Gennevilliers, trained on the violin from childhood and then drawn to the guitar at 14, David Coscas broke away from his alter ego Mcfly after the duo went on hiatus in 2023. Two years of introspection later, he embraces his given name and a sound that reflects him.

Released in March 2025, his debut EP, Le But du Je, sets the tone: guitars up front, melodies taut between rock, post-rock and touches of neo‑metal. You can hear influences ranging from Dream Theater to Coldplay, including Incubus and A Perfect Circle. The lyrics dig into cracks and relationships, address demons and traumas, with a thread of hope running throughout.

On stage, DaviD brings these six tracks to life with his band, betting on the energy of the riffs and the honesty of the arrangements. Distorted guitars and airier atmospheres answer each other, alternating between tension and calm, for a set conceived as a personal narrative. While he prepares his first studio album, this appearance at the Trabendo gives a clear sense of his new trajectory, refocused on the music.
