DaviD, the solo project of David Coscas, puts the guitar back at the center. A violinist since childhood who fell for the six‑string at 14, the one‑time half of the duo McFly & Carlito used the 2023 break to return to basics and present himself under his first name: DaviD. Two years of writing and experimentation later, he releases on March 7, 2025 the EP Le But du Je, a French rock record that looks inward without losing the impact of its riffs and choruses.
On stage, DaviD seeks directness: guitars up front, a solid rhythm section, tension and breathing room, somewhere between progressive accents and pop melodies. Influences range from Dream Theater to Coldplay, via Incubus and A Perfect Circle. He comes to perform these tracks, and to unveil what’s next, at the Rockstore in Montpellier on June 12, 2026, surrounded by his musicians. Objective: a precise, physical and sincere set, crafted for the stage.
