Celtic Legends celebrates its 25th anniversary and presents its anniversary tour on 16 March 2027 at the Zénith in Strasbourg. Led by a company of dancers, musicians and singers, the ensemble dives into the heart of Irish traditions with a fully live show. Choreographies by Jacintha Sharpe alternate group tableaux and tap solos, in close dialogue with the music performed on stage.
Under the musical direction of Sean McCarthy, five instrumentalists deploy the tones of the uilleann pipes, penny whistle, fiddle, bodhrán and guitar. Reels, jigs and ballads follow one another, moving between a clear driving pulse and lighter, more airy melodic lines to support the dance and its percussive rhythms. Since the early 2000s, Celtic Legends has refined this balance between stage energy and choreographic writing, adopting an acoustic approach that favors intimacy and movement.
