Celtic Legends “The Life In Green Tour”

On 3 April 2026 at the Théâtre Galli in Sanary‑sur‑Mer, Celtic Legends presents The Life in Green Tour, a new version of its show rooted in Irish traditions. On stage, five acoustic musicians under the direction of Sean McCarthy respond to the steps of twelve dancers. Sharp, percussive footwork, precise ensemble passages and tightly wound solos follow one another across a repertoire of reels, jigs and ballads, in the manner of a pub night, alternating between a driving percussive pulse and calmer melodies.

Choreographed by Jacintha Sharpe, the dances alternate between group tableaux and face‑to‑face duets, relying on tempo contrasts and a constant dialogue with the live music. The programme unfolds two hours of unembellished performance, where each break and reprise shapes the stage’s dynamic. On tour for more than twenty years, Celtic Legends keeps the essentials: a direct conversation between dance and instruments, carried by the energy of the live show and by rhythmic writing designed for the stage.
