On 17 November 2026 at the Pin Galant in Mérignac, Hiba Tawaji presents À la française, a tribute to French song conceived as an intimate, precise set. She invites trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf, who signs arrangements blending orchestra, jazz, pop and Eastern sonorities. Together, they revisit a repertoire that spans generations, songs chosen for their melodic strength and their ability to resonate today. Carried by a broad, nuanced voice, Hiba lets the songs circulate between languages and influences without pinning them down. Ibrahim, on trumpet and in musical direction, opens the space with modal colors, countermelodies and cinematic phrasing. The duo establishes a dialogue in which each piece is cast in a new light: tempo variations, expanded harmonies, percussive touches and brass lines redraw the contours without betraying the original spirit.
