On 14 October 2026 at the Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette (Luxembourg), Amon Amarth arrives with The Allfather Awakens Tour. Formed in Tumba in 1992, the band champions melodic death metal steeped in Nordic imagery, with massive riffs and choruses built for sing‑alongs. Centered on Johan Hegg’s deep voice and the guitar duo Olavi Mikkonen – Johan Söderberg, the setlist draws from three decades, from Once Sent from the Golden Hall to Twilight of the Thunder God and Jomsviking, and including The Great Heathen Army recorded with Andy Sneap, which yields tracks such as Find A Way Or Make One, Get In The Ring and Saxons & Vikings. Expect a dense, narrative show, supported by Viking-themed staging and a rhythm section that never lets up.
Opening the bill, Orbit Culture continues the Swedish lineage with a blend of melodic death and groove metal. Syncopated rhythms, contrasts between abrasive vocals and clear choruses, tight production: from Nija to Descent the band aims for immediate impact, crafted for the stage.
Soilwork completes the lineup with their modern melodeath, balancing fast guitars, keyboards and the alternation of clean vocals and growls. From Natural Born Chaos to Övergivenheten, the outfit led by Björn "Speed" Strid delivers a repertoire where carefully worked melodies and rhythmic tension go hand in hand.
