On August 5, 2026, the Concert Music Festival in Poblado Sancti Petri, Chiclana de la Frontera, brings together La M.O.D.A., Ultraligera and Repion for a night focused on rock made in Spain. La Maravillosa Orquesta del Alcohol unfolds its blend of folk and rock with a punk drive, using an acoustic setup (guitars, accordion, banjo and brass) and lyrics in Spanish rooted in the everyday. From the early “¿Quién nos va a salvar?” to “Ninguna ola” and its reinterpretation of “Nuevo cancionero burgalés,” the group has been shaping a direct rhythmic pulse and a raspy vocal that supports clear melodies.
From Madrid, Ultraligera crafts a sound that crosses indie, grunge and alternative pop, with echoes of the post‑punk revival. After the EP Europa and a string of singles between 2021 and 2023, the band made the leap in 2024 with its first album, Pelo de foca. Prominent guitars, tight rhythms and melodic passages frame narrative, introspective lyrics populated by urban characters in tension with their surroundings.
Rounding out the bill is Repion, from Santander, with an indie approach tinged with grunge and power pop. Two interplaying voices, tense songs, shifts in dynamics and distortion that never erase the chorus. Their lyrics orbit emotional relationships, memory and the everyday, between fragility and restrained electricity.
