Hombres G « Los Mejores Años de nuestra vida »

On August 1, 2026, Hombres G will arrive at Marenostrum Fuengirola (Fuengirola) with Los Mejores Años de nuestra vida, a journey through their history from the Movida Madrileña to the present. Formed in 1982 and fronted by David Summers on vocals and bass, together with Rafa Gutiérrez and Dani Mezquita on guitars and Javier Molina on drums, they forged a straightforward pop-rock sound with echoes of new wave and punk-pop that defined albums such as Hombres G (1985), La cagaste… Burt Lancaster (1986) and Estamos locos… ¿o qué? (1987). Lyrics about everyday life, humor and romantic entanglements sustain a songbook that crosses generations.

Live, the band blends anthems like “Devuélveme a mi chica” and “Marta tiene un marcapasos” with pieces from their recent period: “Todo esto es muy extraño,” “10,” “Desayuno continental,” the acoustic “En la playa,” and “Resurrección.” Sharp guitars, tight backing vocals and a rhythmic drive that invites singing accompany a repertoire that continues to look to the street and to romantic comedy without losing energy.
