Formed in Copenhagen, SP Just Frost is a trio — singer, pianist and drummer — rooted in soul, blues and New Orleans rhythm’n’blues. On stage, the band builds around voice and piano, with a firm groove that at times leans toward funk and gospel while keeping a clear, song-focused frame. Between original material and reinterpretations from the 1960s and 1970s Afro-American repertoire, they put the live moment first: close interaction, responsive rhythms, piano lines up front and a vocal approach that moves between spoken soul and classic singing. Their concerts carry the intimacy of club sets as well as the openness of jazz and improvised-music contexts, with an organic aesthetic that leaves space for the three players to listen and react. SP Just Frost will be at Pavillonen in Grenaa, Denmark on May 2, 2026.
