On 19 March 2026 at Pumpehuset, Copenhagen, Kataklysm brings its Freedom Or Death tour. Born in Montreal’s early 90s metal scene, the band first pushed a blistering “northern hyperblast” approach before moving toward a more structured, melodic take on death metal. Growled vocals, rapid riffs and a clear sense of groove anchor their recent years, while the set can span early cuts like Sorcery and The Prophecy through Shadows & Dust and Serenity in Fire, up to Of Ghosts and Gods, Meditations, Unconquered and Goliath. Three decades of writing that balance speed, syncopation and a dark atmosphere.
Joining them, Poland’s Vader drives a direct, thrash‑tinged strain of death metal led by Piotr “Peter” Wiwczarek. The band favors tight structures, slicing guitars and a low, commanding voice. From The Ultimate Incantation and De Profundis to Litany, The Beast and Solitude in Madness, their catalog navigates warlike, occult and apocalyptic themes with crisp rhythmic shifts. On stage, that translates into compact, hard‑hitting songs that keep the focus on precision and impact.
