Stig Rossen brings Årets julekoncert 2026 to Royal Stage in Hillerød on 10 December 2026. A Danish singer and actor born in Copenhagen, he first made his mark in London’s West End with Les Misérables, moving from the ensemble to the role of Jean Valjean. Back in Denmark, he balances a solo career with stage work, shifting with ease between musical theatre, melodic pop, standards and ballads. His voice is also familiar from film dubbing, notably the Danish version of Disney’s The Lion King, which helped anchor his place in the national cultural landscape.

On stage, Rossen moves comfortably from concerts with full orchestras to more intimate line-ups. His Christmas concert series, launched in the 1990s, has become a steady part of his calendar. For this edition at Royal Stage, the program draws on the holiday repertoire he has built over the years: Danish and English Christmas songs, tender ballads and classics, with a few nods to his musical theatre roots.
