Clawfinger

Clawfinger play Copenhagen on 5 November 2026 at AB&B - Amager Bio. Formed in Stockholm at the end of the 80s by hospital co-workers Zak Tell, Bård Torstensen and Jocke Skog, the band forged a European take on rap metal built on chanted vocals, heavy riffing and industrial textures.

They broke through in the early 90s with Deaf Dumb Blind, then pushed the formula on Use Your Brain and the self-titled album, tightening the groove while keeping samples and looped beats in the mix. In the 2000s, A Whole Lot of Nothing and Zeros & Heroes shifted the balance toward a more guitar-driven alternative metal, a line they kept following on Hate Yourself with Style and Life Will Kill You. Their lyrics stick to a direct tone, circling social tensions, religion and international politics without detours.

Back on stage since 2014 after a brief split, Clawfinger stay true to straight-ahead song structures and a rapper’s flow at the mic. Live, they draw across the catalogue, from early 90s milestones to later, sharper cuts, with a sound that favours dense rhythms, precise downstrokes and an unvarnished delivery.
