Snail Mail

Snail Mail, the indie rock project of American singer-guitarist Lindsey Jordan, returns with Ricochet, the third album due March 27, 2026 on Matador. On June 23, 2026 at the Trabendo, she will present these new songs alongside material from Lush and Valentine, with the direct songwriting that is her signature: bright guitars, crisp melodies, and intimately observed lyrics.

Ricochet continues the trajectory she has followed since the start of her career, combining luminous, sunlit riffs reminiscent of the Smashing Pumpkins' sunnier moments, britpop-leaning touches akin to Radiohead, and a shoegaze veil inherited from bands like Catherine Wheel. Jordan’s precise voice holds the thread, balancing deliberate fragility and electric tension, in songs that explore intimacy and inner movements.

Hailing from Baltimore’s DIY scene, Lindsey Jordan built Snail Mail through the Habit EP and two albums that established a simple, melodic sound centered on guitar. On stage, Snail Mail performs in a direct, no-frills format; the new compositions blend in naturally, between suspended ballads and more urgent passages, continuing a repertoire where the clarity of the arrangements serves the intensity of the lyrics.
