Goldmen - Concert Best of Goldman

Goldmen brings the repertoire of Jean-Jacques Goldman and the trio Fredericks Goldman Jones back to life. On January 30, 2028 at Le Cube in Troyes, the seven-piece band presents a Best Of that revisits the key songs while respecting the keys and the spirit of the original versions. On vocals, Alain Stevez reprises the lead line with a phrasing faithful to Goldman’s writing, while Sabrina Belmo adds the color and power of the parts originally carried by Carole Fredericks, from duets to the backing vocals.

On the programme are songs such as Quand la musique est bonne, Je te donne, Un, deux, trois, Né en 17 à Leidenstadt and À nos actes manqués, supported by a solid rhythm section, electric guitars and keyboards that recreate the albums’ textures. The set alternates between upbeat numbers and ballads, with arrangements designed for the stage and transitions that link the different periods, from the 1980s to the 1990s. A tribute concert focused on the songs, their words and their melodies, intended to dive back into a well-known catalogue without betraying its essence.
